Strange border situation

It looks to me like this building(s) is technically in the USA (it is SE of the border vista) but is only accessible from Canada. Anybody know what this is and what the situation is?

  • Looks like a former clear-cut logging area that has not been replanted, but you are right that the access only from the Can side is odd.
  • Could be a logging base camp, where the land is owned on both sides by the lumber company.
  • It would be an interesting place to go to....would there be sensors on the ground that could prevent you from crossing w/o detection. To the north in Canada there are agricultural buildings and homes fairly close.
