  • Manak Dheri is an old Village in District Hoshiarpur. It is about four miles east of Jalandhar-Pathankot road from Bhogpur. Its original name was Manak Di Dheri. around 1699 when Guru Gobind Singh initiated Khalsa Brotherhood at Anandpur Sahib. visited by Guru Har Rai Sahib on his way from Kiratpur Sahib to Kartarpur. The village Manak Dheri remained under the territory of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.. Modern facilities like education, medical, marketing and communication etc. . The other sub-castes living are Gill, Sahota, ATWAL, Dheri, Chadha , Sharmas, Bawas, Mirasis, Nais, Jhivars, Harijans etc. Sholar Raghbir Singh Bains, Encyclopaedia of Sikhism on multimedia CD-ROM belongs to this village. He is not only the Gem of Manak dheri, but also known as the Pride product of Village Manak dheri. He has got his Primary education, from Government Primary School Manak dheri. He is a student of International Law, International Relation, International Politics and Punjabi Literature. He is an author of 18 (eighteen) books and he has also published more than two hundred articles,. He is known as a revolutionary poet, writer, dramatist, intellectual, thinker, philosopher and social reformer. He is genius.
