One of the main intersections in Guatemala City. Originally there was a "Garita del Guarda Viejo" or Old Keeper's toll which was the South-West entrance to historical downtown. In the mid-twentieth century the crossroad was optimized by a modern viaduct called "el crucero del Guarda Viejo" or "Old Keeper's intersection", but the folk slang renamed it as "El Trébol" or The Clover, which is it's most common name since then.
