Luna is bounded on the northwestern portion of Kalinga and Cagayan on the north of the Cordillera Mountain, on the west by the ridges and side slopes of hills of Pudtol and on the east by the Abulog River.



Travel to Luna from Manila by means of Bus takes about 11 hours via Sta. Fe and 14 hours via Ilocos. Terminal of buses can be found at Sampaloc Manila and Cubao. A tricycle ride is still needed to be able to get to the town proper which is still 7 kms away from bus terminal at junction Abulug Cagayan.
