This luxury hotel had just opened when the civil war broke out, it was gutted in the resulting fighting and never rebuilt. The ruin has towered over the city for nearly 50 years.

  • 1975-1976 taken by the Kataeb & shooting toward the Murr tower, 500 ft away...until they got kicked out!
  • When are they going to rebuild this? It's been decaying way too long.
  • they are saying that they are going to demolish it ... but since theres a parking lot under the hotel (which is being used now) they are not being able to demolish the hotel.
  • Will this EVER be restored?
