interesting place, Grade I Listed (UK), viaduct (bridge construction style)
Thornton Viaduct is a disused railway viaduct at Thornton in West Yorkshire, England. It is 300 yards (270 m) yards long and has 20 arches. It was built in an S-shape to allow a smooth access to Thornton Station. The Viaduct was part of the line which ran between Queensbury and Keighley which closed to passengers in 1955 but remained open to goods until the 1960s when it was closed and the tracks pulled up. The viaduct is now a Grade II listed building.
