Jarail was a Parganaa in Todarmal's Survey and Settlement. Its ancient parganaa name is Jarail, but its Mauze name (of Mughal period) is Parsaunaa. This village never paid taxes to the British, and the wrestler Kali Jha had forced British officer Mr King to give in writing that this village will never be asked to pay taxes. Jarail is around 3 KM from Benipatti and 20 KM from District Madhubani HQ. This Village starts with Hanuman Temple (Boua Hanuman) in north and ends with Maa Kaali Temple(Kaali Math)in South where the mosr important item is Buddha statue of around 600 AD. Middle school in the East of village, and Gachhi tola in the West of village. Middle is Rajdhani chowk. This village has many highly qualified people. This village has lost one soldier from Bihar regiment on 20.08.2000 in Kargil War(Mr.Basant Mehta). This Village is very devotional, all the time one can hear Ramayan Path and Harikirtan.
