The stadium(Yadwindra Stadium) is built in the name of Maharaja "Yadwindra" of Patiala province of Punjab state. His son Maharaja Amrinder Singh was C.M. of Punjab during 2002 to 2007 in the Congress govt. The stadium has a 400 metre track, a football ground and a Kabaddi ground. The stadium is adjacent to Govt. Senior Secondary School, Mehraj.
