A disused stone quarry in to the west of Monkton Farleigh, it was converted in to an ammunition depot during the WW2 and the cold war, the depot was situated under a hill top a mile away. this worked in conjunction with the Corsham quarry which was also converted into an ammo dep. Other parts of the quarry was turned into a cold war nuclear bunker which, until recently, has been kept 'quite' under the Official Secrets Act 1989.
