St. James The Apostle, Anglican Church (Town of Perth)

Built in 1861, it was designed by the architects of the original Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. This is a Royal Charter Church and was built to be the district’s Cathedral on the site of the Garrison Church. The columns supporting the vaulted ceilings are solid pine. The intricately carved screens and the stained glass windows are of the highest quality, and regimental flags are still proudly displayed.
