  • The Fairfax Theatre was closed by Laemmle Theatres in September 2006. However it was taken over by Regency Theatres and operated as a second run art house. It was closed in late-February 2010, just short of its 80th birthday and it is closed and may be turned into a condo with a rooftop pool. SAVE the Fairfax Cinemas! Join Friends Of The Fairfax Theatre http://www.facebook.co... This once was a great asset to the nieghborhood, and can be again. A lovely local art deco movie theater that until recently showed great movies. Oh and write City Councilmember PAUL KORETZ at paul.koretz@lacity.org to tell him it should be landmarked.
