  • In the grounds of the Army Public School (Hayat Shaheed), a crumbling adobe tower is all that remains of Gohar Aman's Tower, a fort built by Gohar Aman in the 1850s. There's not much to look at and the school is pretty security conscious. The school principal may be happy to escort you to the tower and provide a potted history.
  • No doubt, that very tower still indicates the overwhelming power of Raja Gohar Aman against the then formidable Maharaja Kashmir who had badly been thrashed in the hands of Raja Gohar Aman in 1850s. But, with great lamentation, the date of victory has been mentioned on the tower of Raja Gohar aman with big Blunder of almost one century difference from the real date...till now, no body has pointed it out......
