Two 3" masking pedestal mount guns were mounted here from 1900 to 1923.

Battery Schenck was named on May 15, 1903 in honor of 1st Lieutenant William T. Schenck, 25th U.S. Infantry, who was killed January 29, 1900 in action with insurgent Filipinos near Subic, Zambales Province, Luzon, Philippine Islands.
