Porta San Felice (Bologna)

Porta San Felice was built in 13th century, and in 1334 it was equipped with a fortress and a drawbridge. The gate was first renovated in 1508, and then in 1805, on the occasion of Napoleone’s visit. Other renovation works date back to 1840, when some swallow-tailed merlons was added to its walls.
