History: Safdar Jung (full name Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan ) (Hindi: सफ़्दरजंग, Urdu: صفدرجنگ‎) (b. c. 1708 – d. 5 October 1754), was the Subadar Nawab of Oudh (the ruler of the Indian state of Oudh, also known as Awadh) from 19 March 1739 to 5 October 1754. He was a descendant of Qara Yusuf from the Kara Koyunlu

  • A lovely place, but too many lovey-dovey couples strewn all around. Can't really blame them, given tyhe lack of privacy at home. Worth a vist!
  • Visited the site many a time during high school period in 1954-1955 studying and memorizing various topics in preparation for final exams. Ramesh Mehta, Mohan Lal and Sham Lal were the other school mates accompanying me. The beautiful green grassy lawns, surrounding the Tomb, with numerous trees, provided ideal conditions for studying and memorizing answers in fresh and natural green environment. Also visited the site a number of times during 1957-1962 while doing F.Sc., B.Sc.(Hons.) and M.Sc.
