The Brigade is garrisoned and trains in various sites throughout the army base conglomeration which occupies the settlement of Penchenga. It is the principal military guards unit with responsibility for the Russo-Norwegian frontier in the Kola Peninsula area. This particular area where the administrative offices and parade ground is located is called Knyazhuha (Näsykkä),
