Beeline Highway (SR 710)

Also known as the Warfield Memorial Highway, this route is unusual for the area as it takes a direct northwest-to-southeast route from West Palm Beach to the town of Okeechobee. It runs parallel to the Seaboard Coast rail line.

Pratt & Whitney had a top secret project and facility on the Beeline Highway in North West Palm Beach testing and refining the most technical surveillance aircraft the world knows. The SR-71 Blackbird. A key resource used in the Cold war period. Anyone think the naming os State Road 710 was by chance? SR-710 as written at each intersection along the road?
