G42S Huwu Expressway
Huwu Expressway (Chinese: 沪武高速), in full the Shanghai – Wuhan Expressway is an expressway in China, located in the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui and Hubei. The highway to an East-west link between Shanghai and Wuhan. An older name is the Changhe Expressway (Changshu – Hefei).
Huwu Expressway begins at Changshu, about 70 kilometers north of Shanghai on the Shenhai Expressway. The Expressway runs Northwest, parallel to the river the Yangtze by low-lying and densely populated countryside. One crosses the Tongxi Expressway and West of the more important Jinghu Expressway. The population density in this area is very high, with a densely built numerous medium-sized towns and countryside. At Changzhou Hurong Expressway, after which one crosses the highway traverses a more. West of Jintan Yangli Expressway, after which one crosses the highway by a low mountain ridge. The highway then performs along the city Lishui, where one crosses the Changshen Expressway, Ningxuan Expressway and the Changhe Expressway then crosses.
Then run the Highway South of the airport of Nanjing along, and crosses the border between Jiangsu and Anhui. The highway then performs along the town of Ma'anshan, where one crosses the Ningwu Expressway (G4211), and then on the long Highway Ma'anshan Bridge runs. The highway ends East of Chaohu on the Wuhe Expressway (G5011).
A further to the West part starts at Jiguang Expressway on the Yuexi (G35) and leads through the far west of the province of Anhui, a very mountainous terrain. The highway has several tunnels, including a tunnel of over 7 km length. One then reaches the border with Hubei Province, after which the highway by flatter territory, to the Valley of the Yangtze. The highway crosses the region quite a few highways in Wuhan and finally ends in the East of Wuhan on the 3rd Ring Road.
In March 2015 initiated the construction of the highway between Chaohu and Wuwei in Anhui Province. This section should be opened up by the end of 2018.

- S18 Yuewu Expressway in Anhui Province;
- S5 Wuying Expressway in Hubei Province.
