Nueve de Febrero Avenue
"Nueve de Febrero" is a Spanish term which literally means 9th of February, which is the liberation day or the day of cityhood of Mandaluyong City. Mandaluyong became a city when Pres. Fidel V. Ramos signed Republic Act No. 7675 into law on February 9, 1994 and was ratified through a plebiscite on April 10, 1994.
