Buguias is a municipality in the landlocked province of Benguet in the Philippines. It had a population of 39,271 people as registered in the 2010 Census.

The name of the municipality came from the word "Bogey-yas", a popular Igorot settlement during the pre-Spanish time. The spelling was modernized and spelled as Buguias" by Spanish authorities. Just like Bogey-yas, other names such as Loo, Tucucan, Tinoc, Buguias, Abatan, Ambuse (now Kabayan), Lutab, Karao, Bokkod, Acupan, Kafagway (now Baguio City), Benget (now La Trinidad), Mankayan, and Lepanto were popular Igorot settlements during the Spanish times.
