The attraction place includes middle age castle of the Livon Order and the chain of city fortifications. The object's history goes back to 70s years of the 13th century. It was formed up during the 14-15ths centuries by Livon Order.
Today the area is considered as unique and most important historical monument. Along with it's neighbour, Ivangorod's fortifications system, it forms up the only one of it's kind architectural ansamble. At the Hermann castle at a regular basis held excursions, also various cultural events are organized.
