Completed in 1928; designed by John and Donald Parkinson, among other architects, tallest building in LA until repeal of height limits in the early 1960's (1928–1968). The top of the City Hall building still houses the rotating airway beacon designed to mark Los Angeles for early aircraft.

  • Of course, it was blown up by the Martians in "War of the Worlds."
  • and in the real world it isn't the City Hall but the headquarters of the Daily Planet. You can't make out the offices of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, though.

  • Go to the Observation Deck on the 27th Floor, Absolutely breathtaking view of downtown LA buildings. Maps depict other important sightings in the area.
