Diomede is a city located on Little Diomede Island in the Bering Sea, in the Nome Census Area of Alaska, USA. The population was 115 at the 2010 census. The city is located 2.4 miles from Russian territory.

Diomede is a traditional Ingalikmiut Eskimo village with a subsistence lifestyle based on Seal, polar bear, blue crab and whale meat.

  • Stupid words about Russians I see. Is it really fun? We have to cooperate with them.
  • As a soldier I served my country exactly on the border line sharing a cup of hot coffee with my "enemy" but realy the only person I had a chance to chat with those cold days. All my years before and after my military service every body kept telling me that I must shoot him. I pressume he had to do the same to me. But no ! I looked at him and he looked at me as a fellow human been out in the wildeness. It is pure stupidity to think that two persons can triumf over two countries. Same goes here. "Shoo ... Get back there" ? 5 Americans to 5 Russians ? LOL !! Ants fight better I think !
