Tiruchirappalli also called Tiruchi or Trichy (தி௫ச்சி), is a division of Southern railway connecting the central part of Tamil Nadu to various parts of India, notably regions in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the oldest railway stations in India. Trichy Railway Junction has five branches leading to Madurai, Rameswaram, Erode, Tanjore and Chennai. It is located in heart of the city of Tiruchirappalli. In IRCTC Trichy is spelled as TIRUCHCHIRAPALI. The station code is TPJ.
