  • South Sentinel Island is not open to visiters, however in 1969 we landed on this beautiful island and found a large number of 'robber'crabs with one huge claw, about 6 to 9 inches long capable of crushing a coconut to enable it get to the kernel to eat it.The crabs climb the coconut trees and nip them to drop them to the ground and scramble down to eat it but most of the time other crabs take it and run-off ie rob it.Has beautiful beaches alround with crystal clears waters and thousands of coconut trees.
