USA / New York / Champlain /
 customs, border checkpoint

Autoroute 15, Saint-Bernard-de-Lacolle, Quebec - Interstate 87, Champlain, New York (CHM).

This is the only major crossing between New York and Canada that does not involve a river crossing.

This is one of the top 10 busiest border crossings between the U.S. and Canada and it typically processes over two million travelers a year. With an average of more than 500,000 travelers in July and August alone traffic congestion is predictably bad at peak periods. Autoroute 15 to Montreal has been listed in some surveys as one of the 10 most congested roadways in North America.

This port is open 24 hrs per day, 7 days a week in both directions. There are NEXUS lanes for entry into both countries. For more information on this border crossing see: www.ezbordercrossing.com/list-of-border-crossings/new-y...

This is a Class A U.S. port which means it is a designated port for all aliens. Foreign nationals entering the U.S. should use Class A Ports of Entry.
