Large bomber base, among the largest in the arctic. Can accommodate over 40 bombers and a small number of fighters. Lies 4 km south of Severomorsk. [Severomorsk]

and the 830th separate naval anti-submarine helicopter regiment (Severomorsk-1)

This seperate Helicopter Regiment was equipped with Ka-27 units. It is unknown how many there were or to where this unit many have been assigned since re-organisation of the Russian Naval Aviation forces in the period 2008-10.

The Ilyushin Il-38 (NATO reporting name: "May") is a maritime patrol aircraft and anti-submarine warfare aircraft designed in the Soviet Union. It was a development of the Ilyushin Il-18 turboprop transport.

There were also some An-12 on base.
