The Hauptbahnhof in Frankfurt am Main is the busiest railway station in Germany and has over 120 million passengers each year. The station has 24 main line platforms and 5 iron spans, plus additional S-Bahn, U-Bahn platforms and tramway, bus, and taxi interchanges on the forecourt. The station is well served by international and national lines being located in the centre of Europe, although being a terminus causes problems as through trains have to reverse.
