Cypress Hills is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Once a luxurious turn of the century suburb, Cypress Hills was hit hard by the ills of white flight and the erosion of New York City's infrastructure in the 1960s and 70s.

Since that time the neighborhood has undergone several revitalization efforts and crime has dropped significantly, however it has been unable to fully recapture it's former glory. The similarly named rap group "Cypress Hill" is commonly mistaken as hailing from this section of Brooklyn, however they are in fact from California and have nothing to do with this Cypress Hills.
