This park was created by ripping out the old semi-abandoned railroad/industrial area that once was here. It was the centerpiece of Expo '74.

  • The larger of Riverfront Park's two islands is called Havermale. The smaller one is Canada (formerly Cannon)Island. It got the present name because it was the site of the Canadian exhibit during the 1974 World's Fair.
