Greater Noida is a 100,000-population census town located in the Gautam Budh Nagar district of north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It comes under the purview of National Capital Region (NCR) of India. It is located at about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of New Delhi, 20 kilometres (12 mi) south-east of Noida, one of the largest industrial townships of Asia.
The development of Greater Noida is managed by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA). Greater Noida is a fast growing region, on a trajectory to be one of the largest industrial and education hubs of India. Greater Noida has excellent infrastructure and road network, on par with Chandigarh and Bangalore, contributing greatly to its rapid progress witnessed in the recent years. About 25 percent of the city's total area has plant cover, which lends a vibrant and fresh look to the city, especially in the monsoon season.
