Height 50 m, length 543 m, length of arch 330 m. Žďákov village, which gave the bridge its name, is located 100 meters below.The bridge is named after the flooded village of Žďákov u Chrástu. With the bridge in these areas was considered as early as 1941, but was later due to the surge level of 20 meters, the plans adjusted. Construction of the bridge was launched simultaneously with the construction of the dam Orlik in 1958. The bridge was then completely closed to vehicle traffic, passengers had to disembark on one side of the bus and on the other side of the bridge board to another. After removal of faults and their causes (if water got into the cavity through which had run off and frost damage the material ) was back after two months of operation restored.
Due to the growing truck traffic bridge but more and more worn, so it was the spring of 2010 on the bridge prohibited the operation of vehicles over 13 tonnes. At present (2011) is in about CZK 400 million to repair, overhaul the bridge will remain closed for freight transport.From this bridge were dropped in barrels and the victim called the Orlík killers.
