MAV Achaios shipwreck was once the ship called Mav Achaios and it was built in 1932 by A/S. The ship was under the ownership of the company Akarnania Μaritime Company. The ship was transporting wood from Yugoslavia to Jeddah in South Africa. Unfortunately, a storm swept through and sunk the ship (5 January 1976) . All of the crew onboard made it off the derelict vessel.
