Original Lindley Lodge old country house was former Lindley Hall main lodge built sometimes in early 18th century, with major addition in late 19th century, when Lindley Lodge became preparatory rectory school of Reginald S. Lea, Esq., in 1890. After WW II. was this building purchased by the National Coal Board as area offices, later was here Young Peoples Centre providing personal development programmes for young people.
It is now a missionary training college for the interdenominational Youth With A Mission organization, from 1985, who renamed this premises as The King's Lodge.
