Kawazu Nanadaru Onsen-kyo is the one of the famous hot spring towns in Izu. It has great seven waterfalls called "Kawazu Nanadaru" or Kawazu Seven Falls: Kama-daru, Ebi-daru, Hebi-daru, Shokei-daru, Kani-daru, Deai-daru and O-daru falls. Entire town is in the valley of Joint rocks (In geology the term joint refers to a fracture in rock) of lava. So, not only there are great waterfalls but also you can enjoy great sightseeing here.

  • in 2012, most of the Kawazu Nana-daru Hiking Course (pedestrian road from suspension bridge near Ebi-daru down to Shokei-daru) and access to Hebi-daru, Shokei-daru and Oh-daru is closed until unspecified date due to damage made by a typhoon.
