  • How can we not have any comments for Ann Arbor. I've been living here for about 6 years now, absolutely love it. City itself is very cosmopolitan, lotta bars and plenty to do. People around here are very friendly, although students might sometimes get rowdy (which i don't mind).
  • You'll have a hard time finding a nicer town than Ann Arbor. It's got all of the benefits of a big city (great night life, restaurants, cultural attractions) without any of the problems (traffic, pollution, crime).
  • As a native son, I have mixed feeling about A-squared (as the locals know it). The University of Michigan creates a very strong community which attracts all kinds of benefits not typically associated with a town of 100,000 - lots of culture, a cosmopolitan feel, great variety in food and entertainment. That all needs to be balanced against a truly brutal climate for much of the winter.
  • Lived here for 16 years. When I moved here in 1991 I was single and found plenty to do: bars, music, brews, culture, you name it. Got married in 1997, still plenty to do... The Arb, bars, music, parks, culture, etc. Now I have 2 small children (6 and 3) and there is STILL PLENTY to do ... parks, pools, Ann Arbor Summer Festival, Art Fair, culture, diversity, schools, great weather (winter sledding; spring bike rides and parks; summer pools, parks and picnics; fall parks - beautiful colors in the trees - UM FOOTBALL, shall I continue?). What a PERFECT town.
  • I've lived in South Lyon for 17 years now, which lies approx. 20 min. drive north. Ann Arbor has always been the most talked about and sought after city. With so much happening, and so much more to be desired. It's worth a gander or two.
  • Ann Arbor is a GREAT city, a role model for every city in Michigan and the entire country. Ann Arbor is without a doubt, the best city in Michigan. The diversity, the culture and the friendly people is what makes Ann Arbor such a great place to live. Lot's of great parks, great schools, great restaurants and stores. The only downside is the cold winters, but other than that, it's a great place.
  • Ann Arbor is just very famous for its Brobdingnagian amount of students.
