The Lucas Olivera adobe was a part of Rancho Jesús María land grant, a 40,000-acre parcel granted to Lucas Antonio and José A. Olivera on April 8, 1837. The property was later owned by E.G. Marshall of Casmalia. The old ranch house, the oldest building standing on Vandenberg Air Force Base, is now used as a guest house.
