Daska is the Tehsil (Sub District) and is one of four Tehsils of district Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. Daska is located on Lahore Sialkot national highway and at a distance of 105 km (65 mi) from Lahore.
Daska is derived from Das Koa (Punjabi language) which means a city ten Kos away. Kos or Koh is an old unit of distance equal to 1.5 miles. Daska is situated some ten "Kos" equal distance from the City of Sialkot, Gujranwala, Wizerabad and Pasrur cities which is why it was originally called

Daska is an Industrial City. Daska is known for its agricultural products including high quality rice, sports goods, Leather Garments, Surgical Instruments, Electric Fans, Auto parts, agricultural equipment and washing machine spare parts & assembling manufacturing of washing machines. It is one of the two largest manufacturing centers of agricultural equipment the other being Mian Channu.

Banbanwala-Ravi Link Canal (BRB Canal) passes through the city.

  • It is true that daska is famous in agricultue equipments but also famous in industial equipments first washing machine was made in Pakistan,(Sobi Washing) machine and now the Alba engineering co. made the spare parts of tractor

My Grand father Shri Sohan Lal was Sahukar of Village Mallianwala, Tehsil Daska Distt Syalkot My father Sardar Inder Singh was petition writer at Daska Court he was Punjabi poet. My Nanka Pind is Outhia. My Nana's name was Shri Diwan Chand who used to work as Sunar before partition. Outhia was a beautiful village nearby a big canal going towards Gujranwala.
