OJSC Eastern Shipyard (up to 1994 - Vladivostok shipyard ) - Shipyard.

The company was founded in 1952 specifically to build on its ships for the Pacific Fleet and the border forces of the Far East USSR. During the 1950's - 2000's years at the plant was built more than 400 ships for the Navy, the border forces and fisheries organizations.

In 1994 it was transformed into JSC Eastern Shipyard. The shipyard was established to build ships for the Russian Pacific Fleet and the border forces of the Russian Far East. Over the years the company built over 400 ships for the navy, border forces and fisheries organizations.

The company has extensive experience built on exports. More than 30 pieces of artillery, torpedo and missile boats have been delivered in 8 countries. This is Vietnam, Cuba, China, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Guinea, Iraq.

Eastern shipyard started to actively build warships with the 70-ies. First it was 205-I series, which consisted of 24 ships. Later the project was "Lightning". Since 1987, the plant produces vehicles for border project "Firefly."In 1994 the plant was converted into a corporation.

According to Director General of the East Wharf Igor Miroshnichenko, to the 2010 "East Yard" in terms of production went to 80-85% to the level which was the former Vladivostok shipyard before adjustment.
