Ahfir is a town in Berkane Province, Oriental, Morocco. According to the 2004 census it has a population of 19,482.
This is a smal and beautiful town of MOROCCO ; It is located in the eastern part of the country , at the border with ALGERIA , wich is separeted of this town only by a little river called WAD KISS.
The inhabitants live here , mainly by practising agriculture and breeding ( sheeps, goats, cows) and from the monaie sent by workers abraod ( FRANCE, SPAIN, BELGIUM, ...) They speak arabic and berbere.
The lanscape is marqed by one of the most gorgeous Mountainous chaine in the country( BENI IZNASSEN); Not far from the beach of SAIDIA( 21 km) , we think that the future of this region , in the touristic domain is brillant; Moreover the autority , conscious of this had stareted to fortify the infrastructre , manly the road,
