Barangay Ibayo used to be the host to one of Bulacan’s biggest textile factory, the Imperial Textile Mills during the 70’s. Today, the same spot is occupied by the country’s top retail store, SM City, making Ibayo as one of the top revenue earner of the municipality. Located right next to the city of Meycauayan along McArthur Highway, it is bounded by barangays Lias, Nagbalon and Saog. It has a total land area of 63.5 hectares, devoted mostly to residential and commercial use. It has eight residential subdivisions, seventeen recreation areas, one resort and numerous business establishments.
