Point Where two tectonic plates meet and are gradually being pulled apart

This point on the coast of Iceland is where the mountain range called the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rises out of the Atlantic Ocean. The upper right hand corner of the box noted is part of the north american plate the the lower right hand corner id the european plate. Iceland is literally being pulled apart at a length of about 3 inches per year due to plate subduction.
