In March 2009, John Quigley (seen above) returned to Stevenson's Ranch to visit the big oak tree which had once been the center of such controversy, then transplanted to this location in Pico Canyon Park.
Some five years after the resolution of the conflict, both the one time tree sitter and his tree are alive and well.
