museum, residence, ranch, historical building, historical layer / disappeared object

1501 Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades was the Will Rogers residence and home-base from 1928 to 1935. Mrs. Rogers continued to live here until the early 1940s.

The south wing is the living room, the kitchen, and guest rooms. The north wing had a library/music room, a sun room, and Will's private study. The two wings wrap around 3 sides of a courtyard patio creating an "Outdoor Room" - a wonderful "living-dining room" with outdoor fireplace.

It was part of Will Rogers State Historic Park until burning down in Jan. 2024 in the fires. However, some of the artifacts were saved ahead of time.
