  • Because this place is high and mountains surround it, its virtually impossible for us to be flooded. We're lucky to be here.

  • i dunno when i'm ever coming back, i'm living a very peaceful life here in Bacolod city. I left Bagong Silang back in 2002, and if I'm ever coming back, I sure hope not to be totally stressed out by heavy traffic around phase 1... talipapa market, if i remember correctly. hehe. i was twelve then. i'm 22 now. so it's been ten years.. =) i did go to school in BSES and Star, but I hear there are more than one school in both campuses..
  • God's place for us
  • in my opinion that why many people populate in metro manila or in bagong silang caloocan city because people in B.S.C.C. is hospitable caring loving in our country smart kind ang everything thank u for your canservation
  • for kuya jim, bses have neighbor schools sharing for that space, actually they are already 4 in total: BSES, JPRizal, Sto. Nino, and Gabriela Silang, if I'm not mistaken.
  • How I wonder why the looks of Bagong Silang nowadays though it's too populated, it seems that people around are not disciplined. I am not saying all but to most. Me and my family was one of the old settlers in Bagong Silang even before the National Housing Authority step foot to this place. Our family were one of those who benefits the project Of the Marcos Administration Imelda's project the Green Revolution. We've been there since 1972. Our family most especially my parents lead those olds settlers and tilled the soils by hectares. The nipa huts were far away from each other but they manage to group together and lead the place to improve the place. then came the NHA started sending in relocates. They were all welcome and live peacefully. My family never stop helping these people especially my motther. Then I took over until 1992. When I took over I tried my very that these young children, out of school youth and other students while on vacation I tried to make them busy by joining sports competition from kids to adult; from basketball to volleyball just to keep them away from drugs and so on. I hate seeing people addicted to drugs most especially. I don't tolerate them especially in my area. After 1992 when my temporarily left the place (I will be back) that was my mission "to initiate sports competition while they were off to school" while they were off to school. How I wish I could contribute more for the people of Bagong Silang to improve their lives not only for the youth but also rot mothers and head of the families for their livelihood in order to support their families ! But my family and I could do these much during those days. Giving a descent burial service to a a baby girl whose parents cannot afford to do anything about it. And even waited for my husband And I to get home. Home from work. Their baby died in the morning. We managed to talk to a puneral parlor owner and agreed to a certain agreement and the baby was given a proper burial. Our family being in the community service for so many years and even helped NHA in the future development of Bgy 176 only hope majority were called squatters, relocates or whatever they will call you. Don't make them look you are one and don't act like one. Show it to them that you can still live in a decent nice and peaceful place like Bgy 176. I hope when I comeback there will be an improvement in our place. The sftreets are for the vehicles to drive into. The sidewalks are for the people and students o walk into. Not for the those people who are selling their merchandise. They should have a proper place where to sell their merchandise but not on the streets nor the sidewalks. Discipline yourselves. Make Bgy 176 a better place to live with. With what they called low life people. Show to them especially those people who did make it by going abroad. Pls do try something or coordinate with those in charge just to share some blessings to the most needy one! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
  • how nice
  • OK no more miss a nice guys in bagong silang :-) its is a Good place to Fully population HAHAHA . BAROgue in english :-)
  • I am a current resident in this Baranggay. Phase 4. If you happen to live there before and you manage to visit it now you wouldn't imagine the changes in this place. I guess the place has a future now with the continous road development not to mention the newly open establishments at Phase 1 and Phase 10. The Barangay becoming commercialized. The only problem in this place is the system. Drug dealers and pushers are still free to dominate the place, drug addicts are everywhere and worse their population becomes younger. And another thing I hate in our place are some unjust and undisciplined police officers who mostly tolerate the wrong doings of the people as long as they knew the person and they are given money or what we called "lagay". And also I knew a story they did to someone they just arrested and then a day before that person went missing (as in mawawala ng parang bula). The family went to the police station where it was expected to be sent but unluckily they wouldn't found the person, they will look after every police station near the place but same answers they'll get from the officers. "We did not arrested that person or He's not here". It was so sad for the family that was left behind because they wouldn't able to look even for the body of their love one.
  • And I want to suggest they must put names on every street because its kinda hard to identify places by Phase. There's lot of "kanto" and we didn't know how we will identify it differently from other corners. And I got amused because most residents in the place did not know that the road starting from Phase 1 down to Phase 10 is called Langit Road or "Daang Langit". If you are new to this place and you happen to say to a jeepney driver or a tricycle driver or will tried to ask someone where Langit Road is they're like.. "Where the hell Langit Road is?!" (Even they're infront of it they did not know. Haha)
  • 1. Is there an organization in the barangay against in government? Ex: (Like BAYAN MUNA, AKBAYAN, GABRIELA, ANAK PAWIS, KMU etc.?) 2. Is there an organizations or groups conducted rally? 3. Is there an organizations or group supported in the legal fronts of CNN?
  • I live and I love this place. I live in this place since 1998. The only problem now is Drugs, I know sooner or later they will dis appear like bubbles if Duterte will win.
  • just curious lang po. bit confused. trying to find the 22 kaganapan bagong barrio. napalitan n po ba ang street na ito.
  • you're right! just look at the "latag" around the Catholic church and Multi purpose hall's sidewalk. Lots of everything that can be sold.
