Grzegorz from Sanok attended the school next to the parish church (earlier information about it than about the church) where the sons of Sanok townspeople studied. Many continued their studies at the Jagiellonian University. The most distinguished and best-known include: Grzegorz from Sanok, a great humanist and archbishop of Lviv in the 15th century, and Jan Grodek from Sanok, professor at the Faculty of Law and nine-time rector of the Jagiellonian University.
