The Clerk of Court is an elected official who serves a four year term. The Clerk serves both the Circuit Court and the Family Court and is responsible for docket management, receipt of fees, fines and court cost maintenance of all court records and submission of reports to a variety of state and federal agencies . The Clerk of Court’s Office is located on the main floor of the courthouse.

Circuit Court is divided into General Sessions ( Criminal) and Common Pleas( Civil) Court. The Clerk of Court’s duties include jury management, receipt of criminal warrants and transmission to the Solicitor, receipt of bail, and staffing the courtroom.
