The UST Museum contains a vast collection of artifacts and cultural items of great historical and educational value. Its collection covers four areas of academic discipline-natural history, ethnology, archeology and art.

The University of Santo Tomas Museum of Arts and Sciences, the oldest existing museum in the Philippines, started as a “Gabinete de Fisica,” an observation room of mineral, botany and biology collections in the 17th century. Under the old Spanish educational law the collections were used as classroom materials for the courses in science especially in medicine and pharmacy.

Open to the public, with Natural History specimens, Ethnographic artifacts, University memorabilia, Visual Arts and Philippine religious images on permanent exhibit. Open Tues-Fri, 9:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. Tel. no. +632 781-1815 or +632 740-9718.

  • Dapat na talagang ilipat ang mga colleges sa ibang building and itransform ang main building to a musuem. 3% lang kase ng total collections ng UST yung kayang iaccomodate ng current musuem e.
  • Ito pa ang isa sa kamkam ng catholic during spanish era at grabe din ang tuition d2 ginagawa na lng ng catholic negosyo ang pag aaral pati ospital d2 grabe singil hnd charity work yan ginagawa nyo niloloko nyo na mga tao dapat goverment na nag handle n2 sigurado makaka2long pa sa mga taong bayan, and beside kinamkam nyo lng naman lot n2 sa mga pinoy tignan nyo kng gano kalaki lote na to at kng gano ka taas ng bayarin d2
  • Well interesting idea about making the main building into a museum. I would love to see more of the museum's collection myself, actually. Those in display though need to be maintained more dutifully. The last time I came to visit, some of the stuffed animals in display (the large St.Bernard dog, and the tiger, tamaraw/carabao) were gathering dust... I like the fact that they also allow students to play on the piano on the second floor...
