Place de la Gare
The Place de la Gare, originally named Place de la Station in 1874, was for a long time a vast open-air construction site. Thus the employees of the cadastre, responsible for verifying the alignment and demarcation data of the new adjacent properties, specify in a document dated 1875: "The distances of this sketch are as exact as possible. The cuttings and the embankments that the 'we do in the land prevent us from operating properly."
