Battle of Kruty - the battle that took place on 16 (29) January 1918 at the railway station in the village abruptly steep and memorable near the village, 130 kilometers north-east of Kyiv, 18 km east of Nezhin. This fight lasted 5 hours between the 4000th unit of Red Guards led by Mikhail Muravyov SRs and detachment of cadets and Cossacks Kyiv "Free Cossacks", which generally consisted of about four hundred soldiers.
